Scope
This notice explains processing when visiting our website and contacting us. Separate applicant privacy information also applies to applications and our talent pool.
Website delivery and hosting
Our website is provided through ChatGPT Sites. Access involves processing technical connection data required to deliver and securely operate the website, in particular your IP address.
Processing for delivery and security is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is providing a functional and secure website.
Hiring needs check
The hiring-needs check asks for the role, location, preferred start, your name and email address. Company, industry and phone number are optional. These details initially stay in your browser. Clicking “Send enquiry” transmits them to us for processing. We do not create an additional server-side form database containing these details.
We use SMTP2GO (Sand Dune Mail Ltd.) through its EU API to deliver enquiries. It processes message content, sender, recipient and delivery information. Alternatively, you can open the summary in your email application and send it yourself. See SMTP2GO’s privacy policy.
When you open the summary, we load Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc.) to protect against automated submissions. Cloudflare processes signals including IP address, browser and connection characteristics and the website visited, also to improve bot detection. Our application does not send form contents to Turnstile. This does not guarantee EU-only processing by Cloudflare. See the Turnstile privacy notice and its linked privacy policy for details, including international transfers.
To limit repeated requests, we store a salted hash derived from the IP address, counters and expiry times. Limits use 15-minute and calendar-day windows; expired records are removed with the next request. This table contains no form content or plain IP addresses.
Contact and enquiry management
When you contact us by email or phone, we process contact details and information you provide to address your enquiry and communicate with you. We use Google Workspace for business email and Manatal as our CRM for business enquiries and related communications. Data processing agreements are in place.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where processing concerns a contract or pre-contractual steps with you. Other enquiries are processed under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR in our legitimate interest in handling business enquiries and maintaining business relationships.
We retain data as long as required for these purposes, subject to statutory retention obligations and necessary retention for legal claims.
Job listings and Manatal
Opening the Jobs & Careers page causes your browser to retrieve current vacancies from api.careers-page.com. Your IP address and technically necessary connection data are transmitted to the provider’s infrastructure, whether or not you subsequently apply.
Search and location filtering of loaded vacancies take place in your browser. Search terms are not sent to this API. Providing current vacancy information is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and our legitimate interest in making accurate, current opportunities available.
Vacancy and application links lead to our Manatal-operated portal at jobs.searchfour.de. Separate applicant privacy information applies to application data.
Media and Insights
Images, fonts and videos are delivered through our website infrastructure. We do not use embedded YouTube or Vimeo players.
Insights articles can be read without registration. Search and filters run in your browser. There is no public commenting feature or personal user account here. The contact information above applies to feedback by email.
Cookies and audience measurement
Our current website application code does not implement analytics or advertising trackers or our own cookies for usage profiles. This statement does not automatically extend to the separate Manatal careers portal.
Before activating future analytics or marketing technologies requiring consent, we will explain the providers, purposes and processing and obtain the required consent. Withdrawal options will then be provided through privacy settings.
Service providers and international processing
Access to personal data is limited to people who need it to handle the relevant matter. Technical providers acting on our behalf process data under data processing agreements.
Our restriction to client companies within the EU concerns candidate introductions. This is separate from possible international processing by technical providers and their subprocessors. We do not assert that all providers process data exclusively in Europe.
Your rights
Subject to the statutory conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future; this does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.

You may complain to a supervisory authority, particularly where you habitually reside, work or where the alleged infringement occurred. The regional supervisory authority responsible for our company is the North Rhine-Westphalia Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
